San Diego-based TVC Capital just partnered with Palisades Growth Capital on a $16.5 million round for Docupace Technologies, an LA-based digital compliance/cyber security company.

 

Drew Brees’ Favorite Startup

Former San Diego Chargers Quarterback Drew Brees has made an investment in San Diego-based OurPact. It is an app that seeks to help parents balance their kids’ time on mobile devices. Parents can block the internet or apps from anywhere.

 

New Kauffman Index

The Kauffman Foundation is out with a new measure of growth entrepreneurship by metropolitan area. San Diego is ranked 7th, unchanged from last year. Three cities that took a tumble on the ranking are Charlotte, Phoenix, and Denver.

 

Cool Companies

San Diego Venture Group announced the list of their 2016 Cool Companies. Downtown stars on the list include: Cloudbeds, Coursekey, Sweet Labs, and XY Findables.
