ABOUT THE EXPERTS

Minh Duong has been leading engineering teams at Simplexity since 2005, when he co-founded the company. He specializes in setting product architecture and tailoring lean engineering teams to meet challenging technical specifications under aggressive schedules. He has led and contributed to the development of products for over 30 companies in various industries since 1997.  Minh holds a BSME from UCSD.

Lowell Stewart has 35+ years of experience in product development with a focus on electrical engineering.    Master level engineer at HP involved with all aspects of inkjet printer development.    Skills include digital design, design for high volume production, FPGA, Verilog, digital simulation, product integration, design for RFI and ESD, High speed digital bus design PCIe, DRAM, “”fiberoptic, USB, LVDS, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, JTAG,  Power supply specifications and design, DC to DC converters, Electro-mechanical design including motor drives, and battery charging / discharging controls.   Lowell holds a BSEE from Ohio State University.

Gabriel Aldaz has 20 years experience in product development. Previously co-founder and president of SparkWorks Engineering, a Bay Area electro-mechanical engineering consultancy. Holds MSME and PhD from Stanford University. Specializes in early-stage design. Passionate about identifying and understanding user needs, and translating these needs into simpler and more intuitive solutions.

Steve Mott has 30+ years experience in product development and business management.  Co-founder of Simplexity (2005),  Co-founder of Cricket Labs (2013),  first employee of Product Design Group (1992) which was later acquired by FLEX.   Holds MSME from UC Berkeley.    Graduate of UCSD Executive program for Scientists and Engineers.  Interested in startup ventures, cross-disciplinary applications of technology, and simple, effective design solutions.
