This Accountability App Uses AI To Keep You on Track

The makers of RockMyRun launched virtual assistant Jolt.ai to help you “conquer your inner garbage person”

Odds are, those “new year, new you” resolutions you made a few months ago have already gone out the window. But San Diego’s Rock My World Media has a new accountability bot to get you back on track. The makers of the popular workout playlist app RockMyRun have launched a virtual assistant calledJolt.ai, which promises to help you “conquer your inner garbage person.”

Jolt.ai, accessible via Facebook Messenger, uses artificial intelligence for back-and-forth chats with its users. It asks questions about your activity level and sets goals based on the answers, according to a company statement.

“People already talk to computers, so we thought why not leverage this technology to change lives for the better by applying it to something healthy,” says Rock My World CEO Adam Riggs-Zeigen.

The Jolt.ai platform tracks your progress and uses that data to calculate how likely you are to hit your goal. It can also pair with a Fitbit or Apple Watch.
