Perspectives Lecture: Baja’s Wild Side

Daniel Cartamil has traveled the Pacific coast of Baja California for over a decade. He discovered a fragile paradise of remote landscapes, wildlife, and cultural treasures, on the verge of being overtaken by modern civilization. At this month’s Perspectives lecture, science and art converge as we take a photographic journey through western Baja California illustrated with breathtaking photography from Cartamil’s new book, “Baja’s Wild Side.”

Doors open at 6:30; lecture lasts at 7-8 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Public Admission, $5 for Students and Educators, and free for Birch Aquarium Members.

RSVP is recommended for this popular event. Annual Memberships are also available. For more information or to RSVP, visit aquarium.ucsd.edu or call 858-534-5771. Proceeds support exhibits and educational programming at Birch Aquarium at Scripps.
