15 San Diego Companies Taking the World by Storm

A craft brewery, a virtual skydiving experience, and a skincare line based on microbiome research are among companies expanding into international markets

A craft brewery and the maker of a virtual skydiving experience are among the 15 local companies picked for MetroConnect’s 2017 program, which helps them expand into international markets.

Previous participants have collectively generated $10.5 million in export sales, added 50 jobs, and set up nine overseas facilities.

Recipients have access to grants, discounted airfare, a staff manager from World Trade Center San Diego, and can compete for $35,000.
